Sometimes when I'm watching a movie I come for the story and stay for the wardrobe. Glorious 39 is a movie based around a very influential family and the wardrobe portrayed that with glamorous dresses, perfect chiffon blouses and stylish high waisted trousers. It took place on the brink of world war II and although the movie is slow moving the imagery more than makes up (in my opinion).

ReplyDeleteThe actress in the top photo is Romola Garai. She's lovely, but I mention it because she was in a BBC mini series, Daniel Deronda. It's another 'must watch' for us.
